Two migrant boats filled with Africans illegally heading for Europe have capsized off the coast of Libya. The inflatable dinghy boats sunk in different incidences (one yesterday and the other earlier today) with a total of 240 persons unaccounted for. Many of them are women and children with some of the women reported to be pregnant.
Well over 4,000 lives have already been lost this year alone to similar mishaps and still there is no end in sight as more people fleeing poverty and fighting in their countries are willing to embark on this perilous journey across the Mediterranean in often overloaded boats.
