| Emir Aminu Ado Bayero |
Following the dethroning of the embattled Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, a new Emir in the person of Aminu Ado Bayero has been announced by Abba Anwar, the chief press secretary to Abdullahi Ganduje , Governor of Kano State, Nigeria.
Ado Bayero was the emir of Bichi, one of the emirates that Governor Ganduje created after he fell out with Sanusi.
Sanusi had succeeded the father of his successor in 2014.
