BREAKING: DEATHS REPORTED AS ENGLISH VS FRENCH PROTESTS IN CAMEROON TURN UGLY

At least two person are reported dead and several others injured in ongoing clashes pitting protesters and security forces in Bamenda, chief town of the North West region of Cameroon. Though unconfirmed sources talk of more than one
The commercial avenue of this city is now a battle ground as angry protesters are determined to disrupt a rally by the Secretary General of the governing party the CPDM Jean Kuete and Prime Minister Philemon Yang aimed at calming flaring tempers over Anglophone marginalization.
The angry population is grumbling that holding a party rally at a delicate period like now is an act of provocation. They recommend that government be focused on dealing with issues raised by striking te achers and lawyers.

It is for this reason that the irate crowd took to foiling the party gathering which has resulted in skirmishes.security forces have responded with live bullets and tear gas on civilians armed with locally fabricated catapults and stones.
The Prime Minister and his delegation are still stuck at a state own hotel in the city as all likelihood of the rally taking place seems futile.
